[ARCHIVED] 10-year old raises money for K9 vests

K9 fund raiser

Camryn Samuel and her family were honored at a recent City Council meeting for her unselfish quest and desire to protect the K9s. After reading about a girl who did something similar, Camryn told her family that instead of presents for her 10th birthday she wanted to raise funds to acquire ballistic vests for K9s. She likes dogs.
Her efforts so far have raised about $2,000.

We'd like to see the community help her. She’s not done! She’s been given a challenge to raise money for our K9 Training Group which consists of 8 dog teams from around the area who all work together for public safety. If you want to help Camryn reach her goal, please email K9vestdonations@gmail.com.

Shown in the photo, taken at the City Council meeting, are Cedar Hill K9 officers Podany and Rhoden, Camryn and Ranger in his new vest.
