[ARCHIVED] Safely dispose of hazardous household chemicals, March 28

The City of Cedar Hill, in cooperation with the City of Fort Worth, provides for safe disposal of hazardous waste that should not be flushed (polluting water supplies) or trashed (contaminating landfills). Hazardous household waste includes acids, aerosol cans, antifreeze, batteries (all kinds including car batteries), brake fluid, craft chemicals, degreasers, drain cleaner, fertilizer, fluorescent light bulbs, herbicides, household chemicals, motor oil, paints and stains, paint thinners, pest strips, pesticides, photo chemicals, pool chemicals, oil filters, solvents, transmission fluid, and varnish.
NOT ACCEPTED are ammunition, asbestos, building materials, butane cylinders, electronics, explosives, medical waste, PCBs, propane cylinders, radioactive material, smoke detectors, tires and TVs.
