[ARCHIVED] MOSQUITO SAMPLES TESTS POSITIVE FOR WEST NILE VIRUS; GROUND SPRAYING SCHEDULED FOR IMPACTED AREA

Dallas County Health and Human Services has confirmed West Nile Virus positive mosquito samples in Cedar Hill and will treat all areas east of US-67. Ground spraying for the area is scheduled Friday and Saturday nights, August 14 and August 15, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., depending on weather conditions. Residents should remain inside during the time sprayers are in the area.

Remember to use the 4 D’s to protect for yourself from mosquito-borne illness:

✔️ Use DEET repellents
✔️ DRESS in long sleeves and pants
✔️ DRAIN standing water
✔️ Protect yourself during DUSK & DAWN
