[ARCHIVED] MOSQUITO SAMPLES TESTS POSITIVE FOR WEST NILE VIRUS; GROUND SPRAYING SCHEDULED FOR IMPACTED AREA

Dallas County Health and Human Services has confirmed West Nile Virus positive mosquito samples in Cedar Hill and will conduct ground spraying in the impacted area Friday and Saturday nights, October 23 and 24, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., depending on weather conditions. Residents should remain inside during the time sprayers are in the area. Refer to the map below for the impacted areas.

Remember to use the 4 D’s to protect for yourself from mosquito-borne illness:
✔️ Use DEET repellents
✔️ DRESS in long sleeves and pants
✔️ DRAIN standing water
✔️ Protect yourself during DUSK & DAWN
