The Fountains at Lake Ridge and Cedar Crest were recognized in October with the Premier Neighborhood Award. The Fountains at Lake Ridge, a small community of 63 homes, took the top honor based on their social activities during the pandemic. The neighborhood was especially proud of their “Night in White”, where families had socially-distanced mini-parities in their driveways with dancing and food while wearing white to show their community spirit.
Cedar Crest is home to more than 600 households along the wooded crest and creek tributaries between South Cedar Hill Road and Red Oak Creek. Cedar Crest recently became the fifth Public Improvement District in Cedar Hill, a result of hard work and many hours of outstanding neighborhood volunteers. During the pandemic, while limited on in-person events, Cedar Crest has kept residents informed through social media and organized a socially distanced clean-up.
