Each July 4th, thousands of people, most often children and teens, are injured while using consumer fireworks. Despite the dangers of fireworks, few people understand the associated risks - devastating burns, other injuries, fires, and even death.
Fireworks are often used to mark special events and holidays. The only safe way to view fireworks is to attend a professional show. With many professional firework shows being canceled this year, it is important to know that fireworks are not safe in the hands of consumers. Fireworks cause thousands of injuries each year
The Cedar Hill Fire Department and the Cedar Hill Police Department will be out enforcing the City’s fireworks ordinance. The current City Ordinance prohibits the possession and use of fireworks in and about the City limits.
Any violation of the City of Cedar Hill’s City Ordinance carries a fine of $2,000.00 per occurrence.
