The Cedar Hill Police Department will be host a Citizen’s Police Academy (CPA) beginning March 22nd, 2012. The CPA is designed to familiarize citizens with department operations and the Texas criminal justice system. The academy is a part of the Police Department's ongoing efforts to build and maintain relationships with citizens.

Each class meets on Thursdays 6:30 – 9:30 pm at the Grady Lamb Police Services building located at 601 E. Belt Line Rd. The program includes two class sessions for those interested in being a part of our Citizens On Patrol program.
• See the various weapons and equipment used by our Emergency Response Team.
• Learn about how officers enforce traffic laws.
• See actual videos while learning about the dangers and decisions that officers face during vehicle pursuits.
• Get acquainted with Titus, the police K9.
• Take a tour of the Desoto Jail and our 911 call center.
• Get to know detectives and how they solve local cases.
