The Cedar Hill City Council passed two ordinances at the August 14 regular meeting calling for a special election to be held on the November 6, 2012 Uniform Election Date for the following propositions:
• The creation of a Crime Control and Prevention District within the city limits of the City of Cedar Hill, authorizing the reallocation of the existing 1/8 of 1% sales tax from the Economic Development Corporation to the Crime Control and Prevention District.
• The legal sale of beer and wine for off-premise consumption only in the city limits of the City of Cedar Hill.
