[ARCHIVED] Change you clock, change your smoke detector batteries

Change your Batteries

Daylight Saving Time begins at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3; the Cedar Hill Fire Department reminds residents to change the batteries in their smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

More than 3,000 deaths occur in house fires each year. Protect yourself and your family by: purchasing multiple smoke alarms; installing your smoke alarms properly; identifying and practicing escape routes; maintain your smoke alarms and test them monthly.
