National Night Out

Get involved in your Neighborhood! This year's National Night Out event in Cedar Hill will take on the first Tuesday in October. For more information contact your neighborhood's Crime Watch Coordinator or you may contact Sergeant Norman Hammel at (972) 291-5181, ext. 2144.

National Night Out is an annual community event geared toward helping local residents build relationships with their neighbors to help reduce crime and make our streets safer for all to enjoy.

National Night Out 2018 was another great success as 49 neighborhoods participated in neighborhood parties across the city. There were more than 4,000 citizens who came out in support of their neighbors and local community. Our thanks for the outpouring of support and participation from our community, Cedar Hill was recognized as a "Rookie of the Year" award winner by National Night Out for 2013 and has received annual awards for outstanding participation for 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017.

Visit the National Night Out website for more ideas about organizing your neighborhood event and building attendance, including how to send free postcards to invite your neighbors.
