Citizens Leadership Academy


The Who

The Citizens Leadership Academy is open to any Cedar Hill resident who wants to learn and be more engaged with their community.
  • Participants must be 18 years or older and not be running for political office during class time.

The When

August 25th through November 8th
  • Various Thursdays 6:00 – 8:30 pm
  • Graduation will occur during the final session, Tuesday, November 8th 
  • Recognized by Council at November 8th meeting

The Where

We will meet at different locations depending on the session and topic.
  • For example, during the Police & Fire session, we will meet at the Grady Lamb Building. Locations and program details will be shared with participants.

The Why

Invite, inspire and empower residents to civically engage with the City of Cedar Hill, Council and the community.
  • Provide hands-on experiences with special civic engagement activities. 
  • Inspire regular leadership habits.

The Cost

The cost for each participant to go through the program is FREE.
  • All participants will walk away with invaluable information about our City, it’s future, along with a new network of resources and engaged leaders.

The How

  • In person- pick up application at counter, Administration
  • Due by Friday, July 15th by close of business.
