Property Rental Registration Information and Fees
Property Registration
Each owner of a residential rental unit is required to register their rental unit(s) annually (per rolling calendar year), or when the property owner changes.
To register a property, fill out a Single Family Rental Registration Form and email it to code@cedarhilltx.com. *Payment is due at the time of registration.
Residential Rental Certificate of Occupancy (RRCO)
Each owner of a residential rental unit is required to complete and submit a Residential Rental Certificate of Occupancy Application Form and payment at the time of a tenant change. Once reviewed, the property owner/landlord will receive an RRCO (which should then be given to the tenant) to provide to Utility Services to establish water service at that rental unit.
Property Inspection
After issuing an RRCO, a Code Officer will conduct an exterior inspection of the property within 30 days of the date it was issued.
